Sunset over western Barrett Lake, Palisade Basin. Walking alongside this lake, the presence of the yellow-legged frog was unmistakable. Large tadpoles swam along the shore, sparked into motion by any movement. Alongside this small meadow, hundreds of tadpoles could be found, along with a sign attached to a rock alerting hikers to the presence of research contraptions within the shallow parts of the lake.
