1000 Island Lake - Ansel Adams Wilderness

Spring snow camping at frozen 1000 Island Lake, Ansel Adams Wilderness. After a few long days of skiing, it was nice to have an afternoon of rest, and even nicer still to find amidst the frozen landscape a rushing creek - snow melt can get old after a while. Later that afternoon my camp was visited by a shy Coyote making its way through the high country.
