Upper Basin - Hiking the John Muir Trail

The John Muir Trail as it passes through Upper Basin, Kings Canyon National Park. This beautiful basin is surrounded by towering peaks, including Cardinal Peak on the east and Vennacher Needle on the west. This photo was taken looking towards several unnamed peaks to the west.
