Hilton Creek Crow - John Muir Wilderness

A calm winter morning at Hilton Creek Lakes, John Muir Wilderness. Although the trip up to Hilton Creek Lakes is relatively short 'as the crow flies', in winter road closures and snow make the trek difficult and tiring. This photo was taken the morning after making that trek on skis. Camped nearby, I was exploring the frozen lake as a pair of crows began to cruise high above the lake.
