Sunrays - Dusy Basin

Sun rays break through the clouds to the west in Dusy Basin, Kings Canyon National Park. After a long day of hiking over Bishop Pass, I camped alongside the lower lakes of Dusy Basin. The light was changing so fast I put off eating and setting up camp to enjoy the quickly changing landscape. This photo looks towards the west end of Dusy Basin just before it drops down into LeConte Canyon, a landscape which leaves the west free of mountains to block the light of the setting sun.
