Blue Lake - High Sierra

Dusk over Mt Ritter, Banner, and the Minarets, Blue Lake. The view from the western side of these mountains is quite different from the more popular east side, yet just as beautiful.

This photo was taken just after the sun set, as the purple and pink colors of the earth's shadow crept above the mountains through the cloudless sky.
