Black Crowned Night Heron flying in with nest reinforcements, Palo Alto Baylands, California. Annually, a group of Black Crowned Night Herons gather to nest at Palo Alto Baylands. Although the group size fluctuates from year to year, more often than not one can find several nests amongst the trees during the spring months at Palo Alto Baylands.
